We did it! New Tricks Website Re-Launched • New Tricks
 In General

Launch of New Tricks websiteHurray! We launched our new website today! Take a look around. We are pretty pleased. We’re stepping out a bit, and have even included a rather obscure f bomb hidden on the home page. See if you can find it!

We also created a Website Evaluation Checklist download, as an enticement to get people to sign up for our mailing list, if you aren’t already getting the Just a Digital Minute here is the link to sign up and get the Website Analysis Checklist.
The Website Analysis Checklist is a large group of items, organized into seven categories.

The list contains things we take into consideration when creating sites for our clients. These are also the things we check for when we’re doing a website evaluations.

Some of the items are essential, for example never use ADMIN as your WordPress user name. Others are desirable but are non-essential so you don’t have to worry about getting around to all of them right away.  In fact, you may have a good reason for doing something your way. And if so, it’s either right for your purpose or you are a bonehead and will have to learn the hard way.

To use this checklist, print the pages out and go through the items at your leisure.  If you don’t understand something, Google it. That is a great habit to get into. You will most likely find a ton of posts on the topic.  If you have a quick question, ask in the comments on my website so other people get the benefit of the answer.  And of course, if you’d like help with anything, schedule a talk it session with us and we can make a plan.

Go ahead and share the Website Analysis Checklist with friends.  That way, all of you can join us each Wednesday morning for coffee and the Just a Digital Minute. Although, I admit that for some time now,  it has taken a lot longer than a minute to read:-).

I’d love to get some accolades feedback on the new website. Go ahead and leave them in the comments below.

Love the new site! AND I love that cup on your home page. I took a photo of it when I last stayed at your place. I need to get one of my own some day. 🙂

Hey Lisa, Thanks for the vote of support! I am loving it and love my mug:-). It is hard to take the time to do our own site when we were already busy. So lots of late nights for me and my team! But worth it to finally get it done. I now have alleviated my website shame.

Hey Tom, Thanks! I am happy to have a site that really shows where we are different that other web designers. Then it will attract people that want more than a pretty site or a cheap site and are willing to do their part in making it really work for their business. As you know you can’t just build it and they will come. In your case you have done amazing things to get your page one ranking for Atlanta Web Design and have more business than you know what to do with. We have to work it to have it work.

Awesome! Very clean and focused layout, and makes all that “lots of info” (and useful archives that you put so much hard work into over these years) easy to find and narrow down to the nitty gritty. Great job, guys!! Congrats!

Hey Zach, Glad you like it. It was a big decision to move my blog posts off the front page and only have them accessed by the little nav button. But, most people find them by a Google search so they are not ending up on the front page anyway.

Congrats, Judi. The site looks great. And of course I had to go revisit the picture to look for the coffee mug. Too funny. Love the mug, the video, and before and after visuals. Great job and thanks for sharing your experiences. #thestruggleisreal 🙂

Thanks Jenny! Of course that means a lot to me. I now have to go back in and make sure all of the new pages are optimized for their search terms.
