The Client
For over 60 years, Portman Holdings has been an innovator in the design and development of hotels, retail space, apartments, and office buildings in their home town of Atlanta as well as properties in cities around the world; including the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square, San Francisco’s Embarcadero Center, and Shanghai Centre.
The Situation
Portman Holdings needed a complete redesign of their website. They were not interesting in spending the time and money required to work with the layers of bureaucracy of a large digital agency. They also knew they wanted more expertise and availability than individual website contractors could be counted on to provide. So, the Portman team went to work to find a small, local agency that would not only be responsive to their needs, but have the expertise and resources to get their work done right in a timely, cost-effective manner.
The Solution
The Portman team, looking for a small, local, web design agency, did a Google search. New Tricks, being in close proximity to downtown Atlanta, came up prominently on Google local listings. Seeing our excellent and plentiful reviews they set up an appointment. The meeting went well and just before it ended, we showed them a website we built for a similar organization that we were in the process of launching and that sealed the deal!
The Result
New Tricks redesigned the current Portman website five years ago and we’ve continued to work with them. We host and maintain their site and are on call to make changes and updates as requested. As Portman has further developed specialty lines of business, New Tricks has also gone on to build out the Portman Industrial and Portman Residential websites.
